A printable activity book of 44 A4 pages for children of roughly four to nine: 7 tracing pages, 7 colouring pages, 6 word searches, 5 mazes, 4 matching activities, 9 basic mathematics pages and 6 puzzles. The word searches and the mazes are not stock images — they were generated for this book by code, and every one of them was checked before it was printed: all 60 hidden words were searched for in all eight directions in the finished letter grid, and every maze was solved by breadth-first search on its finished walls, so there is always a way through. The word searches hide words across, downwards and diagonally downwards only, never backwards, which keeps them findable for a five-year-old. Every picture in the book was drawn for it, with deliberately thick outlines so younger hands can colour inside them, and no character, brand or logo from anywhere else appears anywhere. The answers are all at the back, including a shaded solution for every word search and a marked route through every maze — 11 solution pages in all — plus a well-done certificate to cut out at the end. Nothing here is timed, scored or levelled; the age ranges printed on each page are our own rough guide.
